Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. Buss is the founder and president of Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California and grew up part of a rich family. Jerry Buss' father was a real-estate magnate who was later a part owner of the Lakers and various other sports organizations. Her parents divorced in 1972. split in divorce and she was left feeling emotionally abandoned. At the age of 19 she started working within the family's company. After that, she established the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum, before becoming Vice President of the Lakers. Her father passed away in 2013, and the ownership of the Lakers was passed on to Buss as well as her siblings through a family trust that gave each sibling equal voting rights. She took on the role of the president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner in Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion headquartered at Los Angeles.
