Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musically inclined family on the 9th of August, 1963 in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. as well as a cousin of the singing sensation Dionne Warwick. As a child she was a singer in the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark. By the time she reached the age of 15, Houston had sung professionally backing vocals with her mother in Chaka Khan's hit song in 1978 Im Every Woman. She continued to offer back vocals to Lou Rawls Jermaine Jackson and her mother, and also worked briefly as models for the cover of Seventeen magazine in 1981. Her first gig was as a lead singer for New York-based New York Funk band Material. The quality of her vocal work attracted attention from the major label Arista where she signed up in 1983. In 1985, the debut of Whitney Houston turned out to be one of the most successful debut albums ever. From the album, she released several hit singles including Saving All My Love for You How Will You Know That You Give Good Love And The More Love of All. This led to her achieving seven US Top Ones in a row. The singer beat the Beatles. In its debut US year of release, the album had sold more than 3 million copies. Then it went on to be purchased by millions of people around the world, earning her the first Grammy. Whitney 1987 Whitney 1987 album, featuring Where Do Broken Hearts and I Wanna Dance With Somebody as hits, helped build upon the success she had achieved. The 1992 film The Bodyguard sealed her spot in the top 20 most-sellers of all-time. The movie and her role as a character was not well received, but the soundtrack and her rendition of the song by Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You were charting for months in the charts, and she sold nearly 44 million albums and singles all over the world. It was also in 1993 that she married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition singer with whom she bore the sole child of her marriage, Bobbi Kristina Brown. In 1996 her daily drug usage was well documented.
Dana Bash or Dana Ruth Schwartz as she is more well-known as, is an American anchorwoman reporter who also serves as CNN's political anchorwoman and political correspondent. Her prior work has included NBC, CBS and other notable channels. She also produces some of CNN's weekends shows like Evans & Novak Late Edition as well as Inside Politics. The awards and honors she has received include her inclusion on the "The Women in Washington Power List" by Elle magazine. A lot of young journalists praise Bash for her incredible reporting and anchoring capabilities. She is a George Washington University graduate is an extremely loving mom of a son. The couple was divorced twice and is now a dating. Bash is a strong, independent and strong woman. She loves her fans.
