Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in the style that is his own. She has performed on Broadway and at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta her birthplace was Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical path began at church, where she sang as well as was a pianist. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical education began in Atlanta's R&B Scene. She was appointed as the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls the stage show of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally for her daily shows during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing during President Obama's 2008 inauguration.
